Valdez, Alaska

Valdez has been a city since 1901. That's before
Alaska became a state and Alaska became a state January 3, 1959. Valdez is
my recommendation of a place to go in Alaska. To get to Valdez by road you have to travel on the Richardson Highway.
On the way to Valdez you will pass Worthington Glacier, Keystone Canyon
and The USFS Salmon Viewpoint. Or you can go to Valdez on a ferry
from numerous places.
